Suggestions?

by Chloe M
(Denton, TX)

I am very passionate about all living beings. I feel most comfortable in nature or around plants, and I walk everywhere. I love all animals and insects as well. I am very interested in homeopathy/herbal healing, art, music, TRAVELING, anthropology and I have explored some (but seemingly very limited) opportunities in naturepathy and lepidoptery (study of butterflies and moths). My "ideal" job would be trotting the globe, studying native tribe's use of natural healing methods and collecting information to use in my own medicine. I am 18 years old but have been on my own since I was 15. I have had a troubled past but have found comfort in the HSP community since a friend mentioned the subject and I instantly became intrigued. Any suggestions would help, I'm seraching for the most well-suited path for myself but feel limited in my knowledge of the possibilities out there... I have many interests and passions but have limited knowledge on how to apply my passions into a career since I feel I would not be well suited as a small business owner with a store etc.
:) Peace and love, Chloe

Love how you have a handle on who you are
by: Andy Maxwell

Hi Chloe,

I won't be able to suggest any specific companies that you could work with or for but perhaps my ideas may help.

The first thing that springs to mind is are there any volunteer charities which do this kind of work?

Any locally based groups (in the area in which you wish to travel) which do this work?

Other than that, perhaps you could just somehow do it and write a story about it to be submitted to some kind of nature magasine.

You could buy copies of the National Geographic magasine who would probably feature work like this from time to time.

You could do some research on the internet and find people who do this and then bug them night and day until the let you come with them. Or just ask them questions about their life!

You could hire a personal coach who would help you towards your goals. Perhaps Erika can help?

Best of luck in your search, you will find it if you keep looking. Choose carefully which friends family and strangers you talk to about this to enable you to stay on your path.

Love
Andy
